DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area)

DORA stands for “Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area" and that allows patrons 21 years and older to purchase alcoholic beverages in a designated cup (see below) from a permitted establishment and carry those beverages within the defined boundary.

You can take your to-go beverage around the designated DORA, either while relaxing outdoors, or while you’re shopping, look for the DORA stickers on the entrances of participating retailers, and sip while you shop. Be sure to finish your DORA beverage before you enter another bar or restaurant.

The hours of operation for the DORA are between 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. Below is a map showing the Downtown DORA boundaries.

HOW TO ENJOY DORA:

BLUE: ORDER your favorite adult beverage in a DORA cup at a participating establishment.

GREEN: ENJOY your beverage while strolling within the DORA boundaries or visiting locations with a green DORA decal indicating beverages are permitted.

RED: DORA cups must be discarded prior to entering ANY participating establishment (business that holds a liquor license) OR any business with the red decal.

LOOK FOR THE SIGNS:

Each Downtown Wadsworth business will display one of the following window clings at the establishment’s entrance. Look for these signs to know how a business chooses to participate in the Downtown Wadsworth DORA.

As you leave the DORA boundaries, you will encounter “DORA CUPS NOT PERMITTED BEYOND THIS POINT” signs. You will then need to responsibly dispose of your drink before proceeding, and please recycle your cup.
