Restaurants, Shopping, AND Entertainment

Downtown Wadsworth

The downtown is a vibrant, active part of the city. It is home to many retail shops, restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries, and more. This quaint area is a pleasant place to stroll, shop, and enjoy many outdoor events, including the Blue Tip Parade and Festival, the Taste of Wadsworth, the 4th of July fireworks, the Farmers Market, concerts, and more. The Main Street Wadsworth organization holds a different family event each month, giving consumers more reasons to shop downtown. The stores are charmingly decorated each holiday season, just in time for the annual Candle Light Walk.

In the center of downtown, East Park is home to Wadsworth’s iconic gazebo, where free concerts are held. The gazebo is also available to rent for special events. The park’s benches are a great spot for those who work downtown to relax.

Blue Sky Drive-In

Wadsworth is lucky enough to have one of the few remaining drive-in theaters in Ohio. Blue Sky Drive-In shows new movies all summer long. Many guests bring lawn chairs to sit outside and socialize before the show. There is also a playground to keep kids entertained before dark and a snack bar for popcorn and refreshments.

Wadsworth Crossings

Located off of 1-76, Wadsworth Crossings features a strong lineup of national names including Target, Kohl’s, Sephora, Giant Eagle, Lowe’s, Five Below, and Michael's. There are over 20 other venues, ranging from restaurants to retailers.

Great Oaks Area

Just across I-76 is the Great Oaks Area, also known as the “North End.” Buehler’s and Wal-Mart provide great comparative grocery shopping options, while Home Depot, Goodwill, and other national stores balance with local establishments.
