Cops & Kids Christmas Shopping Event (Formerly Shop With a Cop)
Wadsworth police officers, in conjunction with fire/EMS personnel and police officers from other area departments are now selling raffle tickets in for this year's annual 'Cops and Kids' Christmas shopping event! (This event is formerly known as 'Shop With A Cop.')
Tickets are $1 each and each ticket enters you into a drawing to win either an Advanced Winter Driving Experience from DriveTeam (excellent for new teen drivers), a Nintendo Switch, or a "Tour of Wadsworth" basket filled with local items, gift cards and coupons. Money raised by ticket sales and donations is used by the children to purchase Christmas presents.
This Year's Event
This year's "Cops and Kids" will be held on Saturday, December 4th. Underprivileged children from the area communities will be paired with members of their local safety forces for a pancake breakfast at Wadsworth High School. After breakfast, the children will ride in a public safety vehicle parade to Walmart where they will receive a gift card to spend on Christmas presents for themselves and their families.
