Fraternal Order of Police

The Wadsworth Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is the only fraternal organization for active and retired Wadsworth area police officers. We have been in existence since 1947, making us one of the oldest existing FOP lodges in Ohio. We are lodge number 45.

Charitable Causes We Assist

In addition to supporting our local law enforcement community, the Wadsworth FOP supports several area charitable causes and organizations financially, logistically, and through volunteering.

Some of the organizations that we have assisted in the past include:

  • Adopt-a-Highway Program
  • Annual Shop With A Cop
  • Special Olympics & the Special Olympics Torch Run
  • Various youth sports teams
  • Wadsworth area Girl Scouts
  • Wadsworth Salvation Army

Current Efforts

Our latest effort is to purchase Automated External Defibrillators (AED) for the front line Wadsworth police patrol cars. We will be working with other organizations and businesses in the Wadsworth area to achieve this very ambitious project.

Nonprofit Status

The Wadsworth Fraternal Order of Police is a 501(c)(8) organization under the IRS code.

Contributions and gifts made to our Lodge are tax deductible when used exclusively for 501(c)(3) purposes.
