Soprema Senior Center

About Us

Due to the health concerns resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Soprema Senior Center and Cafe’s building remains closed until further notice. Staff continues to work remotely and are available to answer questions and provide support and information. Please contact us via email to or by phone at 330-335-1513 and Center staff will be in touch as soon as possible.

We are pleased to offer our members a variety of traditional and contemporary senior programs and events through a combination of virtual and remote opportunities. We are deeply committed to assisting seniors to engage in a wide array of recreational, educational and social programs from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

The Soprema Senior Center is offering more than 50 virtual or remote programs for the Spring 2021 quarter. Program descriptions are located in our current newsletter, which can be found here: April/May/June 2021 Newsletter. (Older newsletter editions can be found on the Center Newsletter page.)

Visit our Virtual/Remote Programming page to view our SSC Google Calendar and program flyers, or go to our Center Calendar page to view and download PDF versions of our April 2021, May 2021, and June 2021 calendars. Please be sure to contact the SSC to register for virtual and remote programs!

The Soprema Senior Center uses the video/teleconferencing platform Zoom for our virtual programming. Seniors with an internet-enabled device (computers, tablets and smartphones) can participate via video. No internet? No problem! Seniors can dial-in to our programs with just a landline or regular cell phone.

If you have never used Zoom before, the SSC staff is here to help! We offer a low-stakes, judgement-free "Zoom Basics" class to help our older adult members learn to navigate videoconferencing technology. The next date is Friday, May 7 at 3:00 pm - be sure to RSVP. We can also supply basic Zoom instructions to get you started or our more in-depth Instructional Guide to Zoom upon request. If you need additional support connecting to any of our virtual programs, please call the Soprema Senior Center at 330-335-1513 or email us at

Not yet a member? The Soprema Senior Center is accepting member registrations remotely! Membership is free and open to residents age 55+ in Wadsworth and surrounding communities. Please complete our online member form located here: or contact SSC staff for assistance.

Please know that our first priority is the safety and well being of our members, staff, volunteers and guests. We look forward to the time when we can reconnect in person!

SSC Closure Update

We're Still Here Wadsworth!

National award-winning videographer (and Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation Board member) Jenny Young of SHE Did It Videography recently led one of our innovative Zoom programs called "Video Fun with SHE Did It Videography." SSC members learned how to take a video of themselves and email it as part of a collaborative community message. Check it out below!
