Soprema Senior Center
Welcome to the Soprema Senior Center!
A Senior Center Without Walls
The Soprema Senior Center takes great pride in offering traditional senior programming paired with a wide array of new and innovative opportunities. We serve the 55+ plus population of Wadsworth and surrounding communities. We reopened our doors on July 1, 2021, after a temporary shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and continue to operate as a “Senior Center without Walls” by providing many opportunities that allow members (membership is free!) to participate in a variety of traditional and contemporary programs and activities in a variety of ways including in person and/or on Zoom.
Have you heard of the new term “hybrid” yet? While most of our programs are offered in person, we have new technology that lets seniors choose how they would like to participate in certain programs:
- In-person at the Center
- On Zoom from anywhere
With a hybrid program, no matter which way you choose to participate, everyone has fun together! Be sure to check out our current newsletter for program descriptions by pressing the link on the left of this page! To RSVP for programs, feel free to stop by in person, emails us at ssc@wadsworthcity.org, or give us a call at 330-335-1513. Not a member yet? Stop in to fill out a new member form and receive your member keytag! You can also sign up to become a new member online by clicking on the “new member” link on the left of this page.
The Soprema Café: Open to the Public from 7:30am - 2:00pm, Monday - Friday
Safety Continues to be a Priority
Safety continues to be a top priority at the Soprema Senior Center. The Center continues to adhere to all guidance from the City of Wadsworth administration and the Medina County Health Department. Contactless hand sanitizing stations can be found throughout the Center as well as sanitizing wipe stations. In the restrooms, contactless paper towels and soap dispensers have been installed. Masks are available for anyone who asks at the front desk and anyone is welcome to wear one. Tables are regularly sanitized. Accommodations can be made in any program for solo seating as requested. Everyone’s comfort level is very important to us!

We're Still Here Wadsworth!
National award-winning videographer (and Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation Board member) Jenny Young of SHE Did It Videography led one of our innovative Zoom programs called "Video Fun with SHE Did It Videography" during the COVID shut down. SSC members learned how to take a video of themselves and email it as part of a collaborative community message. Check it out below!
