Wadsworth Community Center

About the Community Center

The Wadsworth Community Center, opened in late 2012, includes the following amenities and facilities:

  • Community Center (managed by the YMCA)
  • Soprema Senior Center and Café
  • Summa Health Wadsworth-Rittman Medical Center satellite facility
  • Wadsworth Public Library kiosk
  • WCTV, the City's community television studio

The Center comprises 70,000 square feet of the 450,000 square foot community complex that also includes Wadsworth High School and is the result of collaboration between the City and Wadsworth City Schools.

Building the Community Center

The new Wadsworth High School at 625 Broad Street opened for the 2012 to 2013 school year and was partially funded under the Classroom Facilities Assistance Program administered by the Ohio Facilities Commission.
