I was born in Wadsworth, Ohio and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas when I was 1 yrs. old. My family moved back to Wadsworth, Ohio when I was 16yrs old. While in High school, I was on the Speech and Debate Team and my senior year took Cooperative Office Education. After graduating from Wadsworth High School, I received my Dental Assisting Certificate at the Medina County Career Center.
I worked in the dental field for thirty years and the medical field for four years. My career in the dental field included working as an office manager and dental assistant. I have experience in Family Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry. During my dental career I decided to work in the medical field. After four years working as a medical receptionist I decided to return to the dental field, which I really like.
I have been living in Wadsworth for 41 years and have three amazing children, Tyler, Jenna and Nathan. My children were born and raised in Wadsworth. They all graduated from Wadsworth High School and still reside in Wadsworth today. I also have two cats named Tesla and Mr. Meowgi. This is just a little tidbit; Politics have always been a part of my life. My father is Bruce Darlington who has been on City Council for 20 years and is retiring at the end of 2023. My mother, who has passed, was a member of the Corpus Christi School Board.
I enjoy playing almost every sport, but my two favorites would be swimming and golfing. I started swimming on a swim team at the age of 4yrs old until my junior year in high school. I also enjoy volunteering, hiking, traveling, crafting, and cake decorating.
