Engineering Permits

Please allow up to 30 days review time for all permit applications.

Right of Way Permit (required if you are working in the City right of way for any reason)

There is a $20 fee for right of way permits (no charge for sidewalk permits).  All right of way applications will be reviewed prior to permit issuance.

PLEASE NOTE:  All right of way applications MUST be submitted with a plan of the proposed work (the contractor is responsible for preparing this plan).  Plans should be to scale and include dimensions, property lines, and underground utilities including sanitary, water and storm mains. If needed, the Engineering Department can supply an aerial view GIS map that can be used to prepare this plan.  New connections to water and sanitary require a plan prepared by an Ohio licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)

Bonds are required for most right-of-way projects.  The need for a bond, including a bond amount, will be determined during the plan review process.  Generally, a $5,000 bond is required per project or a contractor can obtain a yearly bond for $50,000 which will cover all projects throughout the year.  A link to our Performance & Maintenance Bond form is to the right.
